We adopted Snookie in September 2008 from a young couple with a new baby. They could no longer care for him and placed a posting on craigslist for a safe and comfortable, loving home. The couple who gave us Snookie were unsure how old he was, as they had adopted him from an animal rescue shelter. We have guessed his age to be around 6 or 7 in human years. Prior to life in the shelter, Snookie was a stray, and was rounded up and put in a cage.

mission statement addendum part 1

There's been some controversy surrounding my initial post, The Eagle Has Landed. Namely, this part:

I will reveal to you...the inner, deepest, darkest secrets of my life.

I must admit, my fellow 605ers, it was a marketing gimmick. A cheap attempt to draw you all in.
This blog,

digital immigrant. analog hustler.

Is actually all about my cat, Snookie, and his continuing adventures in the back yard.

Tonight, for example, I went out on the deck to see the Harvest Moon.
At the door, I met Snookie, he was waiting to be let in for the 308th time today,to eat more of that disgusting kibble that he loves.
He also loves to eat baby rabbits, squirrels,mice,voles,chipmunks and so forth.

Later, said I, in my best Bob Marley voice, We have the important pic chas of the Harvest Moon to be tay kun  for the 605 blog.
